Fishing for CKSF’s Marine Biology Scholarship

July 24, 2013 ·

Grab your goggles and flippers because the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation’s (CKSF) Marine Biology Scholarship is swimming back on shore this fall. This time, all high school students in the United States interested in marine biology are invited to participate.

The Challenge Round begins on October 1, and the top 25% of scorers will advance to the Championship Round. The highest scorer will receive a $250 scholarship and other top scorers will receive various prizes including Guy Harvey t-shirts, books, and artwork.

To prepare for the quizzes, familiarize yourself with the marine mammals, sea turtles, sharks, and fish on CKSF’s marine biology database, www.namethatfish.net. And, be sure to look out for a cheat sheet from CKSF so you can fish for first place.
